ABOUT THE FUND

The Jawaher Fund for the Advancement of Women’s Education (The Fund) was established under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, wife of the ruler of Sharjah, and chairperson of NAMA.

The Fund supports women’s education, and leverages public and private partnerships to provide career opportunities. Through research grants, and in collaboration with universities, the Fund backs the development of a repository of research and data on various topics related to women throughout history, and their impacts on society and the economy. By providing opportunities to build skills and proficiencies, the Fund empowers women as participants in all parts of the economy and as active citizens in their communities.
